    Hi!
Are there any updates regarding the implementation of this act? Is an IRR issued already and has a Board been formed, if yes, would you know who the members of the board are?
    Thanks a bunch!

Hi Grace, you must take note of these processes:

    • He/she possesses the qualifications required to take the examination for registration as a psychometrician

    • He/she files with the Board within 3 years after its creation an application for registration and issuance of a certificate of registration and professional identification card

    • He/she submits credentials satisfactory to the Board that he/she, before the effectivity of RA 10029, had obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and had accumulated at least 2 years full time work experience in the practice of psychometrics.

Hi K.gazzi, the Psychology Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) was already formed. Dr. Lourdes Carandang, who was appointed chair of the Psychology Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) last May 2012, but officially resigned as of June 30, 2012. The remaining members of the Psychology PRB are Hon. Imelda Virgina Villar and Hon. Miriam Cue.

The preliminary IRR is still subject for final approval by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC). The IRR is expected to be promulgated by August 27, 2012.

Hello, Atty, may I know what are the guidelines of the Board in evaluating whether a company is "competently staffed" with a psychologist? For example, can staff who are not yet licensed practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist?
