Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas led the Liberal Party in filing their Certificates of Candidacy (CoC). Aquino said that the Liberal Party would “continue to fight for change” by removing corruption from the system, opening new jobs, and raising the standard of education, health, and judicial systems.
The senatorial line up of the Liberal Party include former National Economic Development Authority chief Ralph Recto, Anakbayan Partylist Representative Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel, Congressman Ruffy Biazon, lawyer Nereus Acosta, Teofisto Guingona III, and Sonia Roco, wife of the late senator Raul Roco. Another senatorial candidate is retired Brigadier General Danilo Lim who earlier filed his certificate of candidacy.
